RS2 low boost prob

I recently overhauled an rs2 which i bought in bad mechanical condition. Car is running fine with no codes.
Only problem is that it only boosts 0.9bar on boost gauge.
Ive pressurized the system and can here a leak coming from somewhere around the turbo area.

All hoses hold pressure so im thinkinking the turbo is leaking!
Checked the turbo for play and there isnt any.

Anyone got any ideas please?

What pressure did you test it to?
The leaking sound from the turbo area could just be air passing through the seals, Pauls (s2central) had this too but the car still boosted ok.

hi mate.u might have a collapsed exhaust or cats. take ur cats off and see if they rattle. if they do then just knock all the honeycomb stuff out and u have a free de cat 2!!!

Have already taken out the cats..
Im puzzled, Dont know what to do..

Check the WGFV including the wiring conections. Recently had similar problem with no boost leaks or fault codes.
Showed up when WGFV tested via vagcom with it working/clicking occasionally. Checked wiring and connection wire was hanging loose due to rubbing against headlight backing

Looks like i finally found the prob
Sent the turbo into turbo exchange in south africa and they took 1 look at it and said that its perfect..
Went for second opinion to a another guy who stripped it for me, and the exhaust gousing was cracked all the way through.
Hope that is the end of all my problems..
