Thank god i can now post

Hi guys, i am porbably one of the newest members here as i bought my first S2 on the 22nd december as a christmas present to myself. I have since been trying to send posts to the forum but guess the administrators were all out christmas shopping. Anyway i bought a lazer red 3B coupe, full heated leather and brand new audi alloys. It has a scorpian system and the geezer said its been decatted (whatever that means) its done 160,000 miles and the engine sounds as sweet as a nut. There is just couple of things bugging me.

    1. start up from cold 3 beeps and a red brake warning light - is the brake accumulator and if so where is it located.

2 at what rev range would i expect the turbo to cut in at?

    3. Can anyone name a reputable garage i can go to, to either rolling road, check and tune the ride.

4 what BHP should i expect from these mods

    5. I noticed the pevious insalled drilled discs all round, even though the fronts are shot, i this typical.

Also is there anything else i should look out for being a newbie.

Thanks again, and i am sure i will be getting to know some of you guys very soon...cant wait to rip it to pieces!!!!!!

    Andy,

Quite a few questions to answer there. Where abouts in bedfordshire do you live?

    1. Th brake bomb, if you look in your engine bay to the right hand side of block low down near the baulkhead you will see two small metal pipes going into what looks like a plastic bubble. This the bomb which is a pressure accumulator. From sounds of it yours may be shot.

    2. Is the car totally standard? if it is between 2-3k depending on how its driven.

    3. You missed out on the last RR meet by a mater of weeks, We arranged that one at my house then the RR at PTS in luton. Next meet I'm arranging will be in shropshire at my dads garage.

    4. Mods wise with the decat and scorpion will sound alot nicer and engine breath better, but you may loose a little low end torque without the cats fitted. Speak to Paul N and get one of Home fry chips once you have a clean bill of health for your car.

    5. Discs wise im not surprised, the S2 is pretty heavy on brakes. You could look at putting some big brakes on the front instead.
