We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links

when i give my s2 some stick the engine cuts out for a few seconds and then is fine if shut off a bit it only happenswhen you floor it the rest of the time its fine

Over boost cut off, is it like kangaroo jumping when you floor it?, usually a boost leak, possibly a dirty MAF (My connector was dirty causing this). Pull the fuses on the ECU (The 2 with a plastic clip over them saying Motor in the fuse panet under the bonnett) leave it for 20 seconds and re-fit them --after pulling the fuses do 2 miles of chilled driving before you boot it to allow the ECU time to re-set itself to the engine, and see if it is still doing it, if so its probably a boost leak. do a search i think everyone has had one of those at some point.
