    Short Journey start problem.

Grr my problem with car starting is getting worse, was stuck for an hour this evening.

Thought it was the car alarm and full pump, but i could hear the pump and the alarm seems to have disarmed.

Tried pouring cold water down the back of the cam cover as a desperate measure, car spluttered then started?

Hall sensor you reckon then folks?

Also how do you change the Hall sensor?

Jamo, as lifted from my thread about the car not starting

    [Quote Audiman]
Aux rad moved out of the way. Aux. belts off, top cam belt cover off, set engine on TDC. Undo the cam pulley bolt and pull off the pulley. Change hall sender and refit in reverse order.

Include a large adjustable spanner so we can lock the camshaft.

Failure to lock the camshafts sufficiently can potentially shear off the woodruff key. Which is not good news.At all.

          Good luck, Jamo.
There's nothing worse than chasing electrical faults around the engine bay, been there, done that...
