Hi, this is the second time that i have had this problem. When accelerating hard the S2 goes into some form of kangaroo petrol mode, First time after an hour or two car was ok, tonight when i floored the accelerator i got the kangaroo jerkiness again, yet if i feed the power in there is no problem. Any ideas ???

You have a boost leak sir, what you are experiencing is over boost protection IMO.
Lets see if we have some alternative diagnosis for you from other members. -

but my mate ross 25480 experienced this problem intermitently and it turned out to be a dodgy maf and ht leads ( he had a 3b).

Boost leak is seconded - especially if you would class it as violent too.....I still remember the first time it happened to me and I sh*t myself at what could have broken

I'd go for boost leak first, but it could also be faulty MAF...
Ignition problems or fuel starvation are less likely if the cut-out is violent as you describe.
