spoke to javid/fidanza first but we had some confusion over the centre stud pattern as i didnt know if it was a 40v or not - its not! so that one would work but i think i would need the centre bearing adapter for the input shaft

what is price and delevery on this? also i have a clutch on order from aelred (same as 3B) which must fit onto it

        cheers

What gearbox are you using? that flywheel is for 016 gearbox and if your v8 is manual, it should have 01e gearbox.. This might fit?

Stage 2 for mildly upgraded stock configurations, includes higher clamping force and full-face Kevlar friction material and sprung hub. Rated to 400ft/lbs TQ.

Stage 3 packages feature higher clamping force, 6-puck sprung hub ceramic disk, use for applications up to 530ft/lbs TQ.

Stage 3+, an 034Motorsport exclusive, features a full faced Feramic disk for ultra high holding power, sprung hub for great streetability, this is the best clutch we can recommend for the ultimate in high performace street. Use for applications to 600ft/lbs TQ.

Stage 5, also an 034Motorsport exclusive, features significant clamping force increase with a solid hub, sintered iron, 6-puck disk, rated for 800ft/lbs, basically an on/off switch.

              Take your pick

Very reliable and have very good life spans but the key is chosing the correct spec before you decide your final hp/torque requirement. It would be no good chosing the stage 2 and then putting 800ft/lbs through it.

                    Retail the clutch's are

                    Stage 3 £343.42
                    Stage 3+ £440.78
                    Stage 5 £418.92

I would also apply a forum discount to the above prices.
However if purchased with an aluminium flywheel also then I can do some really good package discounts.

(and there would not be screw tops eating away clutch)

Would you please not generalise, have you tried one of my aluminium flywheels? how do you know the screws wear the clutch away? if you have any factual evidence that proves this about the product I sell then please present it. If not then please sell your product on it's own merits and not trying to bring someone elses products down.

The 034 aluminium flywheels are a tried and tested product that has many satisfied customer's across the world, to date I have not seen one unhappy report about them.

Corey, lighten up, I'm not coming into your market, I have like 2 of them left.

There are reports of noice from aluminium wheels, couple of cases in Finland, do not know the brand.

But now that you mentioned, I have no proof that there is problem, but I don't like, and there a others that agree, that there is different thickness of materials, I mean that that the edges of the hole, might rise up when heated, at least they will deffenetly expand on heat differently, I don't know do the edges rise, but I'm not the one that will test that on my car.

I would have bought Fidanza my self if they were made to my liking, I do not see any point making it that way, why the friction plate is screwed that way? just as easily it would screw on from the other side.

If somebody don't know what I mean, little explanation to how aluminium flywheel works:
It's aluminium that bolts on to crank, and where the starter ring is crimped.
But the point where clutch touches is at least 6mm think flange of steel, that takes on the heat generated from sliding the clutch.
I made my orginal 3b steel flywheel nice and blue, this was under 400 horses but over 550 nm and using copper clutch.

There is one brake topic on the site, where people are talking what material of brake brackets should be, they are very good observations that they need to handle lot of heat, while they sit 50-100mm (2-4 inch) away from the hot brakedisc and heat must travel from disc to pad, from pads to brakecaliber (made also from aluminium) to bolts that keep brakets on to the actual brackets, now compare this scenario to the aluminium flywheel, every time you change gears, flywheen takes on the torg of the engine and transfers this to heat and to the friction flange what is boltet straight to the aluminium.

Do this matter? probably not, but I'm not testing it in my engine, and I'm not making 350hp 500nm dailydriver, my last engine was 500hp@1.4bar, I promice to achieve over 2bar mark this time.

No offends to Corey or others made during writing this message, there are lot of opinions and products out there, we will fit on same audi scene.

ps. Wab: ordered oem starter rings from Germany as they arrive I put then on to the flywheels, adds 80euro to the price.
