    Strange Sound??

    Hi all

Since I done my very special service which I really want to forgot my car hasn't quite been running right. Basically I overed oiled it to those who don't know.

The engine runs really nicely and smooth but the turbo still feels like its not working at full potential. When I put my foot on the throttle and then let off I keep getting a stange sound coming from the airbox.

Before it was just one contiunous sound that gets less when the revs go down but now it lots of sounds like as if it is continully letting off the power.

Does anyone know what it could be? I was thinking maybe the DV. When I did over oil it there was obviously lots of smoke coming from the exhaust and from the area of the turbo.

Could I have done any damage to turbo?

    Thanks

    Ian

yeah abit but its only when I let off the throttle.

The turbo isn't working like it use to. The car runs smoothly and theres no jerks when driving it just seems to have lost the performance?

Not to sure what it is, could it be a boost leak? What I find normally with boost leaks is sometimes the car really picks up but it doesn't even do that anymore.

With it being over full on oil could it have sucked some into the intake system and part filled the intercooler??, reducing efficiency, or could the PCV system be blocked.

Thats exactly what I thought I checked the intercooler and it did have some oil inside it which I emptied.

Is there a way I can check the PCV system and can it be unblocked??

Had my SAMCO's fitted last week, and changed the PCV and flame trap, flame trap was full of carbon and oil poured out the PCV and hoses, and the MAF was full of oil

CLeaned the MAF, hoses and IC but still lack of performance, reckon the MAF may have been beyond saving, so going to replace it.

Anybody know howmuch they are ??

I think mine could be playing up as well.

I think I read somewhere that there are about 150-200 pound.

I think its about 150 from vagparts but not 100% sure.

Is there anyway of testing it?
