    My Engine Diagnosis

First of all, the garage told me that ALL my spark plugs were loose!!!
I'll be phoning up the guy that last serviced it then!!

Will need a new coil pack, and it looks like the oil on my engine was coming from a crack in the head gasket.
The thread for the spark plug is now non-existent.

The Audi man thinks that the piston and bore will be ok, but will have to open her up to check.

These engines tend to loosen the plugs by itself. So there might be no reason to blame the previous service.

Yup, definately a common problem. However, the torque setting is different for new plugs and plugs that have been removed before. You might want to check what torque setting was used, if any.
