I had my S2 on the rolling road on tuesday, it peaks at 297bhp at 4500rpm but then the boost tails off, rubbish. As this is my first turbo charge car (i'm ignoring i used to own a 75bhp passat tdi) i have got no ideas as to what could be causing it, i'm assuming that it is an engine managment issue so reall need to have to take it somewhere like superchips?

Hmm hard to say if that spec is rubbish - depends if its supposed to have 400bhp or not !
That said - boost will tail off after about 4500 on stock and moderately modified S2 engines - reason being that the turbo (unless a mighty monstrous thing with high-end spec) will become extremely inefficient at high boost and high rpms. This drastically shortens turbo life, but more importantly generate lots of heat in the compressed air produced by the turbo - resulting in much reduced power and leads to knocking etc etc
Do NOT take your car to Superchips - please please please heed the advice of the owners here. Superchips (and the like) do not cater for a car like the S2. I have seen many bodge jobs done in their name - cos they make money from the mass market of go-faster punters.
If the car really has 297bhp then its definitely been modified already - an expert place to discover what has been done to the engine and ECU is indeed MRC.
