Listers.. I'm new here & I see a few familiar screen names here. But I'm in the middle of building a 2.6l stroker motor. I'm using a Euro van lower end, 95.5mm crank, Pauter rods 159mm, Weisco pistons..was thinking bout ceramic coating the?? Thoughts?? &
a 20vt S4 AAN top end. Light weight lifters, better valves, Titanium retainers, HD valve springs, 7A cams.
I'm trying to figure out if I'll use the GT35R or the GT40 for turbo. I don't a ton a lag, & don't want to run overn 30lbs, & really don't want to be reving it all the time.
Just looking for any words of wisdom out there. I'll get the list of what I got as far as specs & calculations later.

i will using a garret gt4082... i think it will fit right,you will need som deasent cams (i have 262dur and 11,25lift....about 650hk
have you any detals for the pistons?? P/N or?? height and what sice of x-pin??

Pistons are Weisco 83mm 21mm wrist pin, 29.25mm compression height 12cc dish. ($700US) With 159mm rods VW spec ABA should give me 1.665 rod/stroke ratio.

As far as turbo I think I'll start with GT30R & play around a bit with it. I just don't want to be huffing a lot of boost, & turbo lag is a concern. But I supposed the torque of the EV will compensate. But injectors are a concern as well. Prolly doing a 83# injector. I
have the header planned allready, & maybe all set with the new intake & TB adaptor plate for a Mustang 75mm throttle bodie.
What kinda timing belt stuff should I use?? I'm concerned with the pullys all being the same. I got a source for the widened HG & longer timing belt but need to know what pullys to use??

i hope you have some big A/R at the hot side- 0,8+ i think the gt 30 are too small for you,at least you have to use gt 35....the head ive been use are a 3b one raceported,with all the smallparts brand new. valves,springs,bolts. and bmw arp studs..

I'd say a 3076R personally, on Sal's S2 it was a monster turbo without the lag of the GT35

The lag will be compensated by the torque...I'll prolly end up after the GT35R with a GT40.
