    Smoke from Turbo area??

    Hi all

Does anyone know what it means if there is smoke coming from the wastegate/turbo area?

    Cheers

Yes I know. It should be checked ASAP. I've had adventure with engine running with no coolant . Just because I have not checked where is smoke coming from.

    Places to pay more attention:

    1. Turbo hoses (braided lines), especially where they connect to turbo
    2. Head cover (sometimes gasket leaks a bit of oil, and it burns on the hot manifold)
    3. Coolant hoses on the back of the engine
    4. Breather hoses on the back of the engine if it's 3b

In short - smoke in the engine compartment can end up very and very badly. Or it can be just a drop of oil from somewhere if you are lucky enough .
