Revs when change gear?

Hi all

When I put my foot on the clutch to change gear my car revs up and then goes back down again with my foot fully of the throttle.

Does anyone know what could cause this?

I'm getting error code 2231 as well. what ever that is?

mine did that on my last trip,but i get no errors from my diagnostic.as for the code,look it up on S2 central,they are all there!

Likely a sticking throttle cable. Have a friend rev the engine and let off while you watch the cable where it attaches to the throttle body. It's likely binding somewhere.
