    Aby Maf

Hi does anyony know what the price is of the MAF for the ABY? The car seems to be lacking power and i think its time to try replacing parts. Oh and before anyone asks i have tried cleaning the MAF with electrical cleaner and it does work but a couple of days later the car feels as if it's holding back.

    Cheers.

Try to clean it with Alchool Isopropil!!!

It´s much better than electrical cleaner!!!!

I think that a new MAF is about 100,00 Euros!

Can you see the wire in the MAF glowing when it is doing it's cleaning cycle? Does it do the cleaning cycle every time the egnition is turned on and off or does the engine have to be started and stopped? I am curious to see if the function is still working.

Is there a way of testing to see if the MAF is showing the correct readings?

I tested the air temparature sensor(G42) using the link above and got a reading of 386 ohms according to the link it should be between 450-650ohms has anybody tested their sensor(G42) to see what it reads? Does it look like i will have to replace mine or is the reading close enough?

                Thanks

I left the MAF soaking in isopropyl overnight and tried it this morning, What a difference it's made, It used to miss/hesitate through the rev range now it pulls strong all the way to redline also the car was going into what seemed like overboost protection everytime i ran it now it runs perfect. All faith in the S2 has been returned. But because cleaning it fixed it for now does this mean that the MAF is on it's last legs?
