My s2 got back on the road today after standing for a couple of months (got a ban, lol). Iv changed the oil 10w40 fully synthetic..... but its burning oil, all the induction pipes & intercooler have no oil in them, the smoke is apparent on idle and when backing off, the smoke isnt as bad under full boost.
Would i be rite in thinking that the valve stem oil seals have gonne?
I have this sympton too and in contrary in what I wrote before in a different thread the smoke is not white but has light blue in it. The compression test is ok and so is the exhaustsmoke in coolingfluid test. It happens most when the watertemp is high.
According to a be-friended mechanic it can't hardly be the valve seals because it should happen al the time then. Maybe it could be some change of the headgasket when warm and maybe it has a small leak in one of the oil canals of the headgasket?
We will check this over 2 weeks. Maybe I ask him to do both a seal off of the fluid in hot and cold conditions. But maybe it is also wise to put in the exhaust analyzer so we know what the smoke actually is...
Ps. I do have to fill up the cooling fluid, but both the thermostat, multisensor and waterpump have been replaced and in that maintenance the radiator has come off. Maybe this is a first "proper" fill issue?
Mine did that. The breather pipes were the culprit.

What did you doo to the breather pipes to fix it then?
Just like quattro I would like to know that too! Are they from custom (bad) design back to factory design or are the from factory design to custom (good) design?
