Cylinder head - possible to fix?

I have a ADU cylinder head with a hole between cylinder 1 and 2. The hole is alomst big enough to stick my little finger through. I think it was caused by a faulty head gasket.

Is it possible to fix this in any way, will it be a recomended repair?

Will try to post a picture of the head later.

Sounds good, I would really like to reuse my old head as it looks in excellent condition except for the damage between the cylinders.

Here's a couple of pictures (sorry about the size)

Yes, it's possible, our local head repair shop (quite advanced guys however) can do that, so I don't see the reason why yours cannot be fixed.

Maybe it may turn cheaper to buy "new" one, like ex7A head from MRC. Especially because alloy is thin, and can be tricky in this specific head part. Make sure specialist does the welding and fills the hole with apropriate alloy.

Aye, most decent cylinder head specialists will be able to make a good repair to that.

Good thing the Audi heads are not made of cast iron, quite difficult and expensive to repair.
