Oil Temp Gauge

How is the oil temp gauge wired up.

Does it get its signal from ECU wiring or direct from oil pump?

Mine started gettin a bit dicky today one min was working next min it wasnt. Looks like a loose connection but wasnt sure where to start.

also how do u remove the temp gauge?

Straight from sender to gauge - nothing at all to do with the ECU. It's probably gunk on the wiring as it gets quite messy
