    Differences between Audi S4 1994 and S6 1995

There is any difference between them???

    Is the same ECU???

On the code of the ECU just a letter is different!

    Cheers,

AFAIK, based on organizing a club of about 20 UrS-cars from 10/91 build date to 11/96 build dates (i.e. Ur S4 and S6), the engine (AAN) and ECU are the same. The ECU part no. should be:

    4A0 907 551 AA
    (Bosch 0 261 200 465)

Basically it's the same ECU with different software inside.

later S6 was equipped with factory immobilizer, this makes ECU swap to S4 not possible without some cheating (and soldering ). S6 can run with S4 ECU.

      ECU Codes:
      S4: AAN Bosch 0261200465 VW Teile Nummer: 4A0 907 551 AA
      S4: AAN Bosch: 0261200465 VW Teile Nummer: 4A0 907 551 A
      S6: AAN Bosch 0 261 204 379 VW Teile Nummer: 4A0 907 551 F
      S6: AAN Bosch 0 261 203 005 / 006 VW Teile Nummer: 4A0 907 551 B (Automatik)
      S6: AAN Bosch 0 261 203 601 / 602 VW Teile Nummer: 4A0 907 551 C
      S6: AAN Bosch 0 261 203 603 VW Teile Nummer: 4A0 907 551 D (Automatik)

      Hope this helps.

Hmm... I guess my experience was North American-based. We never got any automatic transmission UrS4 or UrS6 sedans (or avants) so we didn't get those automatic ECUs. I have run a 97 S6 ECU in my car (93 S4) but we have never swapped an S4 ECU into, say, a 96 or 97 S6. Actually, I don't know if we got an immbolizer or not in any of the S6s. Hmm..
