I get 17 to 19 mi/Imp. gal with my heavier 93 S4. My wife gets 34 mpg in her fully loaded (oxymoron) 2005 Toyota Echo (Yaris) sedan. Payments are equivalent to about 170 pounds (CDN$356)/month for her car. The S4 is paid for.Originally posted by rjscottyMy Atvant is getting about 16 mpg round town, is this normal.
Question: Which one is the "economy" car?
I say the S4. ;>)

I should have mentioned that on a recent 870 mi (1400 km) trip into the US with my wife (read: speed limiter), travelling 120 kph (75 mph) with the A/C on, my RS2'd 93 S4 averaged 26 mi per imp. gal. One leg was 27, another 25.5 (slower with stop and go in wine country) and 26 something on another leg. Not Yaris or TDi figures but still okay given the capability of the car.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

It very much varies with driving style, If you drive in a manor which never awakens the turbo then I can manage 35mpg with my standard S2 avant driving very very steady, however actaully enjoying my drive I can see 15mpg average. Normal driving I get between 20-22mpg using boost fairly often. I don't have to sit in many traffic jams so that does help!Comment
