    Advice/Help Needed

    Hi all

Just had a few quick questions, I hope

    1. When I turn my car off the WGFV ticks for about 5 seconds, Is this normal?

    2. Where can I get a pressure testing kit from?

    3. Is a pressure testing kit easy to make?

    4. Thinking about taking my car to MRC to get it chipped, will MRC look over the car for you to ensure it is running right?

At the moment it feels like my car is running at low boost for some reason? When at full throttle the car just doesn't feel right its only until I drop it in to gear it feels like it gains some power. Does anyone know what this could be, I was presuming it could be a boost leak?

    Thanks Ian

Yes, MRC will give the car a health check if you ask them to. Will be doing the same with mine once ready for the re-map.

Pm forum member Andy P for a pressure testing kit......only about £20 iirc

MRC will look over your car AND fix any problems before they map it....(may not be in with mapping price though)

I'm sure MRC will be pretty busy, why not try and get yourself up to Billing ???(you might find or or two of them there), or they'll be a few others that'll be there and somebody will have a leak kit..

Ok cheers, I might give MRC a ring to check there availability

My car feels like the power/boost is restricted, The engine runs really smooth and nothing seems a miss its just there is no power when at full throttle.

My car was running right before I changed the MAF hose to a new Samco one, While I was changing the hose I found that both vacuum hoses from the WGFV to the turbo & wastegate were ripped but I don't understand why it was running so good with these ripped. I have know placed all the hoses on securly and I'm about 99% sure I haven't got any boost leaks.

I'm only guessing but not to sure I think its something to do with the wastegate, I have heard that the car can run at mechanical boost at that is what it fills like. It fills like it is running at a limited amount power.

Does anyone know what can cause this problem?? I really want to get my car running good before taken to MRC plus It will save me time to get there as well.

            Thanks

            Ian
