    06A 115 561 B replaced by 068 115 561 B

I thought I do a google on the standard oilfilter and guess what this is the same as the 1.8T engine and in the meantime has been replaced by a bigger one!

    See the following articles:

I don't know if there are any drawbacks on using the bigger one (oilpressure?), except for slightly more oil that is...

Well it seems to be the result of an official VW modification. And altough it is not a problem on Audi S2 and for the Audi S2 they probably won't made notifications of modifications anymore. But I can see the point in using the newer filter. Or is there an unknown reason to use the older one?

Be very carful here the S2 Mann filter is 719/30

This isn't the standard filter for the VW it's offered as an alternative to the standard Mann 712/52 filter fitted to cars such as the MK4 Golf 1.6 and 1.8 non turbo!

So a replacement for the 712/52 doesn't mean it will fit the S2.

You mean that there maybe is not enough clearance in the Audi S2 engine bay?

So 719/30 is the new VW alternative and 712/52 is the previous VW model (also known as the original Audi S2 size)?

I mean that in the list 719/30 is the S2 standard filter is being offered as the VW alternative to 712/52 but this is for the non turbo VW engines.

From your weblinks it starts the 1.8T uses the Man W940/25 which does not fit the S2
