Keep Getting VAG code "knock sensor 1 no signal - intermittent", I have checked wiring to ecu and all seems fine.
Does the sensor run through a relay at all?
Or could it be a faulty knock sensor?
The knock sensors (there are two) do not go through any relay. They do fail. If you are pulling codes for a failed knock sensor, I recommend replacing them both. They are not that expensive. There are two different part numbers. They are under the intake manifold side of the engine. Remove old ones. Clean the block mating surface and torque the new ones to 15 lb-ft.
