  • Proper battery

What's the correct battery for the coupe? ABY.

The guy who fixed it for me stuck in an old Saab batt he had lying around, but I'd rather have the real deal with the venting etc. Did a search on the forum but there's no definitive answer that I can see.

    Cheers

Saw that post already. So it should be a Bosch Silver, 564 020 064

      640A Cold crank, 64Ah?

I put a new one on last year which I got from ECP which was a Bosch Silver 574 012 068, 680A 74Ah... Did they sell me the wrong batt? It only lasted about four days due to electrical issues at the time, and wouldn't take a charge afterwards. Is it ******ed?

Take it back and say it is duff - they have a guarantee - the conclusion is 564 020 064, 640A Cold crank, 64Ah is the correct one.

I got the vent pipes from vagparts - I actually got 2 and vented both battery holes out the rubber grommet in the floor.
