What do you make of these remaps

From what I can gather the previous owner had my car mapped by AMD, then had it mapped againe.

As far as I know this is a standard ABY

    I had my 3B-engined type 85 mapped there back in 1997. Base run was 218PS / 225ft-lbs. After remap, figures were 278PS / 362ft-lbs.

A week later at Power Engineering, figures were 270PS / 359ft-lbs...

Looks like someones been fiddling with the temperature correction to get a nice set of figures to me!
AMD are known for very high figures!

Why would there be an decrease of nearly 15bhp in the power losses?
Not sure of the science but there is quite a lot of info out there on the relaibility or otherwise of dynos!

Thats how they fiddle results with temperature/barometric correction.
Look at the difference in intake temperature/barometric correction between the two results.
Gives a nice bullsh*t figure down the pub but thats about it
Hence me taking my cars to Rave Talker at Emerald - about the only person i trust on dyno's.

            Pete.

Yeah gotta say they do look a bit schlonky - that transmission loss is particularly low. All very weird as the normal trick to hype up a flywheel number is to artificially increase the transmission losses. ie Lets say it measures 200bhp at the wheels... tis better to add 70bhp transmission loss than 15bhp to arrive at a flywheel figure of 270bhp.

                  Just very weird figures here...

I'm not for one moment going to believe the second set of results, the first set is more believable.

My car is quick but not 300bhp quick.

bigger turbo/injectors and then another remap maybe.
