3B not running as perfect as before - help

Well I just fixed the dynamo that was broken, got it up and running again. It read 14.4V when the engine is running (is this right)?

Anyways, after charging the battery yesterday I saw an improvement (charged it from yellow to green), but it was still misfiring sometimes, and wasn't pulling as "smooth/strong" as it was just a week ago.

Any ideas as to what this can be? Instead of getting the power in a nice, smooth line to the top of the RPM, I get small "roller coaster" type curves in the "dyno" (butt-dyno). What could cause this? I want my car to run like it ran before.

Sometimes it pulls like it should, but most of the time I get these "rollers coaster" type curves all the way to the rev limiter.

    Mods in signature.

    Thanks in advance,
    Vilhelm

BTW, 2 days ago when I started the car it ran on 4 cylinders. I had to turn it off/on again to get it to run right. What could cause this?

Yesterday I picked up a friend, and on the way to his house it started misfiring like it usually does, so I just cruised the rest of the way. On the way back I wanted to check it again, and it ran PERFECT. Did this the whole way home with a lot of strong pulls (2nd gear).

Would this make it easier for some of you gurus to tell me more exact where the problems could be before I start changing plugs and all that.

It was raining here yesterday and 4c if that helps in any way.

          TIA,
          Vilhelm

I have got exactly the same problem, I'm going to be changing my HT leads and Dizzy cap next week so hopefully this will cure the problem. I'll keep you informed.

I keep getting the same type of effect as you with the 'rollercoaster effect' the only time it really pulls is if I drop it down a gear with revs and then it seems to power all the way. Its like the car is needing to be forced to get everything working right otherwise the power is just on and off all the time.
