    00516 Throttle position

Whats the most likely cause of this ?

    Sticking/dirty butterfly valve ?

Check that the throttle can be heard to "click" when it's returned to it's fully closed position. Check the throttle cable isn't too tight.

hmm started to get that in my last couple of days of running the car.I read Jase's thread and post and im going to see about the cable,as well as check the reducer is letting the throttle cable to come back fully...
good thing this isnt related to the ISV!!

So i slackened one step the throttle cable, hopefully it will make a difference.
Has anyone ever checked if when stationary and checking the blocks with VAGCOM,i noticed that even without the throttle adjuster for the idle on,my reading was that i had about 9 degrees of throttle valve open.On idle it goes to 30 degrees. On WOT it goes to 99 degrees as it should. But is it normal to have 8-9 degrees on a non running engine,as a signal?

              i think i cured it!
went for a drive just a little while ago and it doesnt do it anymore.I guess it was a bit of slacking of the cable and the resting button for the idle and all well!(hopefully!)
