Can anyone recommend somewhere near Cambridge for servicing an S2 (92 5 speed)? Recently got the car - full service record until I looked a little closer.... Essentially has only had lube changes last 3 services .The car starts & runs fine - the odd squeak and rasp - especially when first starting and under load at low revs.

Any advice - most appreciated.

Hello and welcome.
Both myself and HPmuirt take our cars to Bar Hill Motors in Viking way behind the Tesco Bar Hill store

They are not cheap but they have fixed all the squeakyl bushes, air con, alternator failure, cam belt, water pump and servicing on my car.

They also know how much we like our cars and are ver careful with them.

Send HPmuirt a PM to confirm and then give them a go.

they also have a sister garage on Cowley road ... surprise surprise called "Cowley Road Garage". Another option is Specialist Automotive in Bury St. Edmunds which is where I take mine.

Cambridge to Corey in Lincs isn't that far

I've already been in touch with Corey - I'm thinking of getting the brakes upgraded. Lincs is a bit far for general servicing.... Plus I only insured the S2 for 6k miles a year. I've already done 300 miles since I got it last Monday..

Scarily I'm only getting 18mpg... Is that the average you'd expect - or does this point to problems ahead (or perhaps more likely my driving...)?

Depends where you drive it, round town my s6 gives me 23 if i am lucky
