    Only 0.6 Boost

    Any ideas

The Avant will only boost to 0.6 bar which is bizarre, now this is different to the normal low boost threads as the car has a boost controller so the ECU does not have any control over boost.

I'm awaiting a date from MRC when i can get the car checked over but seems they are quite busy at the moment.

Is there anybody in the midlands local with VAG-COM?

Car is full samco'd with Mark H mod so split hoses should be a problem, i need to get down a petrol station to use the airline for a pressure test i reckon although my local one works for 2days a week before breaking ( you would think Shell could afford a decent air machine! )

Try throwing the boost controller in the bin, and plumb the boost control back how it should be.

How do you do a boost test anyway?
What do you plug the airline in to?

Bung each end of the boost pipes, then plug an airline into a valve on one of the bungs. Apply 1 bar of pressure and listen for the hissing.

Nope. The hardest part is finding a compressor that works, if you're not lucky enough to have one yourself.

You can't get enough air unless it's a heavy duty double barrelled pump which i dont have BTDT and got fined by the swear box.

Try the simple things first, like has it de-faulted to low boost setting? I seem to remember that Grahams boost controller was quite a complex thing with about a million settings on it, do you know what they all do yet?

would you believe changing the boost control setting from wastegate to actuator has upped to boost back to around 1.2 bar, still got a leak but it's a start

                            Must RTFM again, crazy sh*t"
