    Any Advice On Fitting Samcos

Just taken deliverey of my samco boost hoses,[cheers paul], and I intend to fit them on saturday. So I wonder if any of you have any advice to offer. There are a few things I am not sure of. I have read S2 centrals post on fitting the hoses and it says that the one piece output hose from the turbo is in two parts in samco kit joined by a 25mm alloy hose coupler supplied whith the kit, there is no coupler in my kit,so will any metal 25mm pipe do or do;s it have to be alloy.
The other thing someone menstioned was the use of hairspray on the inside of the pipes to aid fitting ,will any kind do and how dos this help,is as a lubricant or what.
    MANY THANKS LOU

Try a little hairspray on the inside it helps them to slide on

Boiling water is the safest bet it warms the polymers and will elasticate them for a short pierod of time, WD-40 will corode the ruber over a long period, hth

No it wont the boost hoses have a sealant on them to cope with the stock PCV vapours going through them which is more aggresive than WD40!

Had this argument with my dad last night but hes a MD of a oil recovery company and also holds a chair at oxford of this subject. His company makes rubber booms and skimers that recover oil and they spend lots into R&D into ploymers etc (blah blah), and he advised against it. I will ask why but who am i to argue with him

The trouble with useing hair spray is it could be very dangerous,if she finds out that is.
