Possible Detonation Problem

Guys i need a little advice here, my urs6 has been chipped previous owner said he bought a used ecu, opening it up it has been mrc'd with a 3 bar vmap (thats good). The car has started to what i think is pink/detonate, it only does it only the motorway say in 6th gear going up a hill using full throttle, boost rises nicely to it's max and then i back off when i hear the noise.

I am using mostly v power or super unleaded with millers octane plus, i have no error codes stored in the ecu car runs great in all other circumstances, any ideas on what is happening and how to cure it, i would have thought the knock sensors would have cut in if it is detonation. Is there ayway to test them???

Iain, are you sure the car has MY chips in it? Can you check with Bob Myers to make sure he is one of his customers? That's because no AANs I've done in the UK myself has ever had the VMAP.

When i bought the car the previous owner said he bought the used ecu complete from a guy who was breaking his car, from where in the world it came from i don't know, i bought the car via ebay. What is odd is that it's only started to happen in the last 2 months or so.
