I want to fit a boost gauge to my 3b S2 ,and I wondered if anyone on hear could advise me as to which one to buy, I have been told on hear by a few members that its a must, so fit one I will, and would be greatful for any help and advice.
Many thanks Lou
They will match the plasma gauges that i had made earlier this year.
They are plasma/electro illuminated - 52mm - 2bar max
The needle lights up the same colour as the normal s2 dials and the face illumination will be adjustable by the switching mechanism that controls the aux gauges. (or a separate mechanism if you don't have the aux gauges installed)
Ill have an update on costs soon..
Pics to follow on plasma thread soon..
Shouldn't be to expensive though as im buying in bulk.
Problem is that with the sender, price comes to about £120!!
I like the fact that its a small unit and should fit just about anywhere. You're not as limited as you are with a 52mm dia jobbie.
Would look ok perched on top of steering column surround even?
Anyway, if anyone would prefer one like this, let me know and I'll see if I can get a deal on a multiple purchase - I know they're made to order, so should be able to get some discount.
(see www.turbobits.co.uk for more info)
Turbobits are just down the road from me. I've never dealt with them though.
Personally I don't like digital gauges, I prefer being able to see a needle in the corner of my eye.
I'm inclined to agree that something mounted within the line of vision is considerably better than looking down at the gauges in the centre console, they're really not very well thought out, or positioned, at all!
