Differences in vibration dampers

Bottom code is from the rs2. Top for pretty much the rest of the 5cyl engines. Anyone knows what the difference is?

M is for ABY / ADU - it has the multi-rib pulley for the 120A alternator
The other "small chassis" damper / pulley is all vee-belt arrangement.

Is that multi rib pulley the extra metal part that connects on the vibration damper or is it made in one unit?

This is the part number for the extra pulley 054105255E

Can you fit the 3b damper on the 2nd part ?

Nope, its a completely different unit and mounting bolt. Its also much heavier as its paired with the dual mass flywheels.

I tried that and the short answer is no as the ABY pulley didn't align properly on the 3B style alternator and vice versa.
