Drain the fuel tank

When i change my fuel filter, could i drain off what petrol i have left in the tank with out making a air lock?
I am only thinking about doing this as i think these is so crap fuel in there?

WHy do you want to drain the fuel exactly??

Abandon that as a bad idea and jsut change the fuekl filter!! it will have caught any crap in the fuell anyway.

if you must
drain your fuel //take fuel filter off...have line from tank supported in a bucket of bottle.
Open fuel filler cap.....hear fuel drain out

You may induce an air lock meaning a PITA doing this
