White smoke

Hello,

for the first time yesterday, and after 15 days without any use, my RS2 started to smoke a lot after startup, a white smoke (not oil). It was really a lot of smoke, during 2-3 kilometers and after it stops. I've restarted the car today, no problem.

There is no oil in the water and no water in the oil. It seems that the water level did not changed significantly.

Any idea other than a head gasket or a crack in the head ? I recently changed the F76 (multifunction temperature switch)

Is it cold outside by any chance? I personally wouldn't worry.

It was realy a lot of smoke during 2-3 minutes ; so much smoke that I was unable to see the road in my mirror

That's odd and sounds like somethings not right but there has been quite a few reports of this of late by quite a few people across different forums etc but not quite as bad as you mention.

Maybe the pcv system is broken
