Adjusting the snub mounting on an S2 ABY

I see there are slotted holes on the engine snub mounting bracket. From what I can see the bracket only has an up/down adjustment.

Does anybody know how to correctly adjust the snub mounting.

I fitted a new OEM rubber snub mounting when fitting an RS2 intercooler, I also fitted new engine and gearbox mountings.

Just need to make sure its fitted correctly before I close everything up.

I would say. Tighten the other mounts and center the snubmount bracket on the rubber
    andthat should be it

Yes I would agree too. Do the snub mount last as above

I will be fitting a Powerflex diff mounting shortly, all the other mountings have been fitted and are secure. The snub mounting bracket is already centered on the left and right face of the mounting rubber, there is no adjustment that I can see to move it left or right so I am happy with what I can see.

It's the vertical adjustment that I am referring to.

I cannot see the top of the rubber but it looks like it has about 5mm clearance between the rubber and the top of the bracket.

Should the rubber be touching the top bracket or have a little clearance.

I would think touching will reduce engine movement but could add vibration being transmitted. Depending on the amount of clearance between the rubber and the top of the bracket it could add to excessive engine movement.

I feel if the rubber is just touching on all three side of the bracket that should do it.

Just make equal space between. The snub is only ment to be a stopping point for the engine verticalmovement
i dont even run one But Im using poly solid mounts
