I've got a weird issue with the coolant temperature gauge in my 100. When I got the car the gauge was reading very low, so I bought a new sensor with part number 049919501E. Now my problem is that the gauge reads too high, just below 120C instead of just below 90C as it should be.
Does anyone know what the problem is? I've tried touching all the coolant hoses while the engine's hot, and they feel normal.
Is there a way to measure these sensors? They're probably some PTC type of sensor, but I need a chart to compare my measurements to.
