Can anyone tell me if there is a reason why I shouldn't use a piece of standard 8mm Samco hose for the turbo coolant feed/return pipe? (the thinner of the 2 short bits by the thermostat...)

I did this hose a few months ago, idealy 9mm Id 3ply silicon hose would be perfect for the job but i could'nt find that size anywhere(found 9mm 1ply which i dont think is strong enough).
I end up using a piece of 10mm Id 3ply silicon hose, 90mm long,
i did try with a bit of 8mm silicon hose but could'nt get it to stretch over the 9mm Od steel pipes,Dez
