    audi 2.5 AAT/AEL

    hello guys..

    is there somebody that knows how much hp & torque the stock internals(pistons/rods) can hold off the 2.5 aat/ael tdi?

    and how much torque the gearbox can handle.?

      I have the same question.

      I have AAT engine with cast pistons (AEL has forged) and have plan to increase power to 220-230HP and 450-500Nm. so I was wondering do I need to buy AEL, or AAT is strong enough for that kind of power?

          I was going to point you in the direction of TDiclub forum, but I see you're already on there!

          ok, so here is the deal. i havent seen a thread with exactly this set up, so ill try to make my own, to get some tips and ideas from you guys.. so dont hate me for not searching enough:p I have a 1996 audi a6 2.5 tdi quattro i want to get some extra power of. engine code is ael, standard 140...
