This is for 3B owners only !
If you have fitted both of the little link hoses in the thermostat area can you advise any fitting problems encountered. It appears that one or two of these hoses may be too short for the 3B application... I can easily fix that in future kits if required.
The two hoses in question are the ~9mm diameter hose linking water to the turbo (I call this the 'thin link') and the other is the ~19mm diameter hose linking the thermostat housing to the water rail (I call this the 'fat link').
Length of the fat link is currently specified at 90mm
Length of the thin link is specified for 100mm
I am most suspicious of the think link as I have clear instruction from one 3B owner that the supplied hose is too short. Hand on heart I have never done this job on a 3B, but I'm not aware of any posts or PMs from other 3B owners who have this problem... Got me wondering was there a change in the 3B engine at some point.
I have noted some thin links from Samco at 80mm which leaves very little margin - I will resolve this with Samco and ensure the next batch is perfect. If anyone needs replacement items then let me know.
