    What is this 2 pin plug for?!

    Hi everyone. I was hoping for some help identifying a small two pin purple connector that is sat behind the radiator fan on my car (1994 ABY)

    It seems to be coming out of a rubber ring, but there is nothing obvious to plug this thing into.. am I missing something here?
