I paid slightly less for an OEM one from audi stealer, £10.29 with vat included. Hope its the right part for the ABY coupe cos i couldnt find the right part on the forum
, or internet searces.
Part number i have ordered is A893 133 511
is this correct, and if so will it come with copper washers, if not what do i need, i.e part number or size.....

Well what a PITA that was! Removing the banjo bolts - easy, but removing the filter mounting bracket - thats another story!
All the rubber mountings seperated from the bolts holding it to bodywork! I have cable tied it on for the time being. Will try to source some more rubbers next week. Couldn't even use the trusty angle grinder to remove the old ones with all the fuel floating about.'93 S2 Coupe

My filter from audi wasnt supplied with any washers, so i bought them when i picked it up. You need two for each end of the filter, with both pairs being different sizes.
i think the fitting are different sizes to stop you fitting it the wrong way round.
part numbers are
AN 013 814 9 04B03A washer @ £0.17 each
AN 013 812 8 04B03A 1900010 washer @ £0.19 each
they dont appear to be copper either cos they are silver in colour, but i suppose copper washers of same diameter would work fine.

Yeah, the correct ones (silver) are aluminium. I think they have chosen this becuase the filter body is aluminium as well. I think standard copper washers are a little harder than aluminium ones, so the filter will tend to distort more than the copepr washer....'93 S2 Coupe

I had the same problem when I changed my fuel filter. Everything had corroded up with no cover over the filter.Well what a PITA that was! Removing the banjo bolts - easy, but removing the filter mounting bracket - thats another story!

IIRC I had to stop the filter turning when I tried to undo the banjos, by holding it with the trusty oil filter tool.
I also had to cable tie the bracket back into place.SSComment

I did mine today, not a very big problem, but found that the old filter fitted to my coupe was infact a smaller one, I guess from an Avant...
It had been wedged into the bracket with some old bits of rubber, made removing it very easy for me...!
Anyway, question about this (I might start a thread on this if nobody sees it here),
My filter came supplied with a reducer piece (family album listed it, so got that too), on fitting the new filter, I found the reducer was not needed... I am presuming there is no need for me to worry, both banjos sealed nicely to the filter without any leakage... Is there a reason why this reducer piece is listed???
Thoughts on this would be good...
Many thanks to Waad_UK for starting this thread, was very helpful for changing mine...!
