Hi all, I have replaced my antifreeze in the S2 but I read that some OAT type mixture is not too good with some materials like silicone hoses and soldered joints. Can anybody tell what they have used. I thought it was simple never mix colours and mine was replaced with pink as before. I bought it from Halfords.
any information would be great.
VAG G13 Distinguishes itself through the miscibility with the G12 plus plus et G12plus. Provides protection against frost, overheating, corrosion and scaling. It is recommended to use the product all year round. Or so it says on the bottle off G13 I have in front of me. Although your coolant if G12/13 would be pink. I would go to your Audi dealer and get the correct stuff just to be safe.
TPS in Leicester don't deal with the public any more, have you got a trade account with them? I'm thinking I might set one up, at the very least I will buy a couple of oil filters off them every year!
G12 plus spec purple antifreeze from gsf is what I've always used. Recommended by many on forum some years ago. It's actually more pink than purple. Part number if buying from gsf 976AA0050. Quite cheap as well.
