Think he is asking what I may need to know...

What adjustments can be made to the throttle and linkages, and how are they done... I recall seeing the 5mm drill bit set up method once

The only 5mm drill procedure I know of on the S2/RS2 is that which is used to calibrate the position of the throttle body at the idle position. I'd need to dig out the manual to refresh my memory of the details... But essentially you set the throttle in a fixed position with the 5mm drill bit and then move the TPS on its housing until the idle condition is detected by the microswitch.

              Sorry for the poor explanation.

              Yes this is the one.

my vag com throttle readings are to high at idle and to low at WOT.

              cheers

Waad UK is correct. This is the last adjustment to the throttle area once the basic throttle setting ( 1/4 to 1/2 turn out from full closed ) and throttle potentiometer ( listen for "click" off/on - shut throttle ) are correctly adjusted.
The damper is easier to adjust by unscrewing it until the roller on the throttle arm is "just" contacting the damper rod and turning in ( clockwise ) by 4.25 turns. It makes very little difference to the way ( my S2 ) runs - and some Forum members do not have it installed at all (STFA). James.

Did anyone manage to dig out the instructions for setting the throttle pot. I would find it quite useful as well

I guess its just wedge the throttle open with a 5mm drill bit, and rotate the throttle pot until the idle switch just closes?

                    No !!

The throttle pot adjustment is correct if you can hear the click just off idle and the click as you then release the throttle. I repeat, the 5.5mm drill bit adjustment is for the throttle damper - do not confuse these SEPARATE settings...

Pretty darn sure James is correct - sorry if I misled with an earlier post - I confused myself.

Phew, thought I was going mad! The only one I knew of was the damper adjustment, and I searched and searched, and found no other adjustment involving a drill!!

                        Cheers Guys....
