    RS2 engine mounts

I need to replace my RS2 engine mounts. Audi Tradition apparently has OEM mounts, but they're closed for the next few weeks.

Can I get some advice from more experienced owners? Is there another alternative that is considered equal/better? Ideally, I'd like to keep the car 100% stock, but it's been off the road for several months now and I'm out of patience.

Thanks Tango. Have you used these Lemforder mounts? Are they effectively the same as the Audi OEM ones?

Another non-stock option I have read about is the AK Motorsport (now Verkline) engine mount . . . does anyone have any opinions or experience with them on an RS2 or S2? https://www.verkline.com/shop/audi/s...b-aby-aan-adu/

I used AK Motorsport for lots of my RS2 refurbishment parts on the suspension and its really top quality stuff, the Lemforder parts are also good and are about as close to original OEM as you will get. Febi are good too.

As above the lemforder ones are effectively same as oem. I have ordered the ak motorsport ones as the stock ones wont be good enough for what i need.

Those are transmission mounts, not engine mounts. Autewo only have used engine mounts in stock at the moment can't source new ones until Audi Tradition re-opens.

I don't how hard it is to get Fox Body Mustang stuff in UK, but Energy Suspension has a trans mount that works as a motor mount on B3/coupes. You may need to elonge a hole and shim down a hair, but they do work.

Ford Mustang Thunderbird Capri replacement Transmission Mount made by Energy Suspension. 2 Year Warranty. Ships Immediately. Part Number 4.1104_v8
They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.

My 2c - you will really regret fitting non-OEM engine mounts - they make the car feel very harsh, noisy & uncivilised.

I've ordered the Lemforder ones . . . hopefully virtually identical to OEM as per the comments above. I stayed away from the "performance stuff" because I want my RS2 to be a stock street car.

Can I draw on the collective wisdom of the forum (again) . . .. I am getting myself very confused over the different engine mount part numbers:

This is what I believe is correct for my 1995 UK RS2 which has air conditioning:

                            Left mount: 8A0 199 382
                            Right mount: 8A0 199 382D

There also seems to be a part number that ends in "C" instead of "D". Can someone confirm what the letters mean at the end of the part numbers? Is it right that C means no air conditioning, and D means with air conditioning? Presumably, if I order the wrong one then it won't fit. Or does it not matter?

The part ending with 382 C is the right hand mount without AC and 382 D is with AC. 8A0 199 381 is the left mount without AC and 8A0 199 382 is with AC.
