RS2 /ADU/ ABY Immo Fault

So last night the car decides to play up. It starts but cuts out instantly. The DIS for the immobiliser starts flashing and the car continues to cut out. Problem was solved by using a spare key.

Has anyone experienced this before? Was just thinking that if i had not had the spare keys with the car that i would have been in trouble....

Is there a time/life span on the immo transponder ???

Hmm more probable that the transponder in the key may have broken. When you see them they look very fragile!

That is exactly what must have happened. Although I have experienced 4.5 years of ownership without one going before.

I dont recall my keys being dropped or trodden on , or the like. Which is what confused the issue more....


You are correct though. They are tiny and very fragile looking.
