    hi

    just a thought

the electrical plate where the fan wires go onto could be faulty

normally sits under car near brake bomb on left side of engine bay......sitting in drivers seat

    or radiattor fan switch.........

    my 2 cents

    cheers

I've just had that... and the relay was faulty. Can't remember which one and it's too cold to go out but it's clearly marked on the relay/fusebox. £1 from the scrappy... a snip.

The relay I pulled as a replacement was out of a standard A80... and I've just checked it's numbered as 214 on top of the relay itself and is clearly marked as 'radiator fan speed 1' (IIRC) on top of the cover.

... it is indeed freezing outside

I think the others are right with the relay being bad. I’m pretty sure it is just a very standard 40-amp relay. Hopefully your fuse box looks like this one, I don’t know how much variation there was. You can swap over any of the other 40 amp relays already in the car to check it. The one for the a/c should be the same. Just get a cheep 40-amp relay. As long as it plugs in and is a 40amp your set (The switch in the relay is between 30 and 87). If you try to get one from Audi they will charge you way too much.

                            the fuse box-

                            hope this helps
