    Ebay Manifolds

I have been doing a bit of searching trying to find a decent EM on ebay

Has anyone tried these RS2 Cast iron Replicas?

By the looks of hings manifolds are cheapest on the US Ebay, -

But for example, this SUS321 AUDI 2.2L 2.2T 20V RS2 S2 - Which is cheap as chips is only made out of 2.5mm Steel, where as the English or German version are made from 3mm steel .

Any one know the pros or cons?

I'm up for buying a manifold in the next few days and would just like to know what you guys think. especaily the ones that have tried some of them.

    As always,
    Thank you in advance.

    Regards.

Just looking at the thing, I'm not sure how you could claim it to be 'factory replacement'... definitely gonna need to change around intake and downpipe for that one!!

I'm looking into EM's too atm, want to maintain stock position & look though so not sure whether to stick with RS2 or try 034, the new wagner, or get inventive with the plumbing!

I bought one of these manifolds a while back Chris but from a different seller, superb quality for the price. I have no idea why that guy would put "my standard downpipe wont fit" ?? I mean...you buy a tubular exhaust manifold = custom downipe +++

If anyone wants one brand new with all the gaskets pm me as I am about to put mine up on the bay only for the fact that I need a T4 flange manifold now and this manifold is KKK 26/27

This is what they are like..

                    Can I ask a question?

The manifold with the plain flat bar that mates to the head, is that not going to cause a problem when it gets hot and expands?

I would have thought that the correct design would be like the lovely mandrel bent one below with less material between the flanges???

                    Just an observation.

                    Cheers,

                    steve.

Ideally it needs slits cutting in it to allow for heat expansion but the metal is thick enough to not warp in the opinion of a few folk in the know who have had a look at it.

I still have one manifold for sale. So if interested gimme a pm.

Shipping to UK is 30£, so it's 230£ total. Cost's much more in ebay.
