Is it possible to replace the water pump on my 3b without taking the bottom pulley of. It looks as though you have to remove the back plate to remove the water pump and , there are a couple of small bolts at the bottom of the plate which are partially
hidden buy the bottom front cover . I would be great full for an advise.

No you don't. You can get the water pump out and leave the timing belt on the bottom pulley. You may need to bend the rear cover slightly

But if your going to replace the wp you might as well replace the cam belt not like it’s going to take you much longer.

Thanks for the advise . The belt is not that old just don’t want to disturb it . I don’t have an auxiliary rad which makes it easier

Also if you’ve not done the billet timing cog it might be good time to change that as well.
