Went for some inspiration this week and visited two S1E2’s and one rally spec UrQ, all engines built by the same person.
He puts an oil return on the back of the head, right above the sensor and runs it to the oil return on the oil sump extension. I’ve heard multiple times that this engine suffers from the cylinder head filling with excessive amounts of oil, and this should deal nicely with that issue, no? Crankcase ventilation would also be easy to solve by a simple swirlpot, ventilation to atmosphere and oil return to sump.
What do you think?
