Current best option for Heater Matrix

    Good evening gentleman

What the best option for a 3B heater matrix these days, non aircon if that makes a difference. Wanting a quality item that will last.

And where would be best to purchase it from?

    Thanks in advance
    Gordon

      Agree on the Valeo unit.

Also when you refit the heater unit make sure the weight of it isn't hanging on the heater matrix outlet tubes as they pass through the bulkhead.

I think i got my one from euro car parts about three years ago £22,50. Did my S2 and Brain Smiths a few weeks later. Just a time consuming job. Good luck

Is that also suitable for an ABY?

Valeo was a perfect fit for my 3B. Not a fun job getting the dash out and back in. Don't forget to do the foam on the airbox flaps while you are in there. Get the right foam and glue or you'll be in there again to re-do it

Thanks for the quick response guys, Valeo it is. Is that Amazon one a genuine item?

My next question was going to be what kind of foam & adhesive would you recommend, the heater flaps needs doing also.

              Cheers chaps

Anyone know why there's such a big difference in price between Amazon and Autodoc?

Got mine from ECP as well. Mahle one. Quality good and about £25 delivered. That must be an error in pricing with Auto#uck. They sent me a lhd one.
I used this sheet but can't remember what thickness. Think it was 4mm . Check what you have before ordering.

Folks, have an issue with the FEBI heater matrix for LHD non AC CQ. The heater matrix from Febi is thicker and can't be installed there. I cant find any reliable source (ideally in EU) and part which can be 100% fitted without problem, any options? Thanks
