leaking turbo????

it possible when doing a boost leak test that air can escape thro the
compressor housing???
i have tightened/renewed all the hose clips and pressure tested upto 1 bar
there is a hissing noise from turbo area but can't get my hands near the hose to put
any soapy water near it??
i have also removed the dv and plugged the hoses
because i think this is leaking aswell

Could it be possible the air is getting past the seals and escaping down the exhaust? Not sure but think they are designed to work with pressure on both sides i.e. oil pressure workin against air pressure. With the engine not running oil pressure would obviously be 0. Just a thought.

i feel the f.m.i.c and turbo upgrade coming on sooner than i though

well put everything back together and adjusted throttle cable a tad
now seeing 1.9 bar on boost gauge still sounds like i have a boost leak
as you can hear the turbo spooling up.

just a bit ****** off the allthe problems @ the moment
but with a bit of faith and some hard work
oh and a 5h!t load of money should get it sorted
